This is Carmen the exotic victorian vampiress. I painted her using watercolour and ink (black and white) and a brush funnily enough! The names a bit cliche i know but my dad chose it. :D I think shes' finished but if anyone can think of anything thats missing or could be added please let me know as im not 100% sure.

Thanks to the wonderful Erendis Stock for the pose, the image i worked from is here [link] go take a look at her great photos!

thanks for taking a look! I hope you like her! :)

This piece is wonderful. I love the colors you have used. Hope you don't mind if I use this as a fave. I really love it. :+favlove:

As usual, I love your background! I think the hand's a little off (too large?) and the nose and right (her left) eye are also a little out of proportion. But, my god, the details! Especially in the fan! The beautiful colours and subtleties are what really make this painting.

Wow. This one really jumped out at me when I saw it in my message box. This is easily one of your most beautiful works yet, and that's not putting the others down at all...:)

The colors are really excellent and rich looking, and I love the stylized background; it fits really well and lends a certain fell to the image (It makes me think of raspberries, for some reason...:D) I really love this one, but the part I love the most is her eyes...they look amazingly liquid and lifelike.

The only thing that I could suggest would be to try something with her nose, I think her nostrils might be a touch high. Maybe a subtle line or two to add definition to her nose might help too. But these things are so minor compared to what's right with this image. Excellent work!

I was going to leave the flowers out, the model is wearing them on the original photo i took the pose from but i find roses really hard to draw so i was going to just leave them, your photos of the roses made me decide to leave them in im feeling all loved up at the moment so i was inspired by the romance of it all lol
thanks so much!

the choice of colors is excellent... lots of detail in that fan... you used the reference photo well from what i see, and quite a few changes to suit the concept... the whole thing looks great...
